$10 a day

This is how I live on $10 a day.

Power 4 cents.
Rice 70 cents
Beans 62 cents.
Broccoli 112 cents.
Tofu 264 cents.
Water 1 cent.

Total: $5.12 But! It makes two meals with four cents of power. Using the microwave costs about 4 times more and makes half as much. Or, $2.56 for lunch and dinner. There’s nowhere in America that would be this nutritious for $2.56 a meal. My coffee later on is $1.30. Almost half the price of my lunch! It’s a refill evenβ€”. Breakfast I splurge a little with overnight oats and blueberries. It’s about 85 cents. Then, I’ll buy a gallon of water for 50 cents sometimes in Scottsdale. πŸ™„ Scottsdale. 🀣🀣🀣🚴

What’s my total now? $8.03 Wow. I could afford snacks. 🀣 Like one oat bar or a donut. I’m not allowed to drink anymore due to my heart condition. My stomach condition. My whole body. πŸ€£πŸ™„πŸ˜” Oh well. I didn’t even drink that much once a month I’d have a couple pints and a burger.

  1. Much better than what a lot of people eat, that’s for sure. Love me my steel cut oats though. That, banana, and berries really make a nutritious meal. Buddha bowls are also awesome for variety once in a while. I actually eat almost similar to you, with the addition of seared chicken.

    1. High five! πŸ™Œ I’m looking up Buddha bowls.
